In order to successfully complete an identification, some identification procedures require the entry of a centrally generated transaction number ("TAN"), which is usually provided by IDnow via SMS or occasionally by e-mail. Unfortunately, it does occasionally happen that uninvolved third parties receive this SMS with the TAN, for example due to a number being transposed when the user's mobile phone number is entered. If you have received such an SMS without having started an identification process with a partner, you can just ignore this SMS. IDnow also deletes this mobile phone number because a transaction or the correct person cannot be assigned to it.
If you have inadvertently entered the wrong mobile phone number, you have the option during the identification process to change it and thereby obtain the required TAN.
